Samuel Knight are working with one of the country's principal contracting Rail organisations, that are heading into 2017 with expansive and aggressive recruitment objectives to attract the best talent in the country. We are delighted to be asked to assist in finding x2 Design Managers for work on the prestigious Northern Powerhouse programme of works.

Our client are seeking permanent candidates who have experience in a similar position , ideally holding a previous Network Rail design CRE accreditation , although this is not essential.

Our client are working as a civils' contractor on a number of major infrastructure projects across the country and seek candidates with a multi-disciplinary, rail orientated, background which includes works on Stations, Structures, Bridges etc.

We are seeking a candidate who;

• Brings together internal, external and client stakeholders
• Is a unifying figure able to work in a collaborative manner
• Shows confidence in high level meetings with internal and external influencers
• Has a background in delivering in a Design Management position
• Excellent man management
• Creating change control & notification system for commercials relating to design

Criteria for the successful candidate includes;

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering field
• 3-5 years Rail design experience
• Thorough understanding of Network Rail submission and working protocol
