Document Controller in Northumberland, Northumberland, United Kingdom
A large specialist civil engineering contractor is looking for a Document Control to join their team, to cover the document control requirements on site within a project support team. This is a great role to learn new skills and knowledge of the construction industry and work on a large Northumberland based project.

Responsibilities:
- Updating documents - phone, project lists, charts and schedules
- Monitoring holiday and sickness reports
- Office Archiving
- Updating, uploading / downloading of data working with both in-house document management systems and web-based software packages
- Must be able to easily adapt and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Understanding the client's key requirements whilst maintaining a high level of consistency, compliance,auditability and traceability factors throughout the lifecycle of any document, including the maintenance of the folder structures both electronically and any hard copy files (if required)
- Compliance to all internal and external procedures
- Assist with the collation of documents where applicable.
- To ensure that the most accurate information is readily available and accessible in a timely manner and all associated registers are kept up to date
- Proactive attitude and communication to understand what is required within the project and where we can add value and support
The ideal candidate will have:
- General EDMS experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong administration skills
- Prior knowledge of Document Control
- Strong IT skills in MS Office including Outlook, Excel / Word
- The ability to multitask and have high attention to detail
- Experience in the Construction Industry/working on-site would be a bonus
