Electrical Estimator

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday – Friday

K H Engineering Services Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Electrical Estimator. Candidates should be commercially astute and have experience in the rail and public sector. Working closely with highly experienced Project Managers and Directors, the role of Electrical Estimator is central to the delivery of sustained growth and continuing commercial success.

Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tender documents and PQQs supported by accurate interpretation of design drawings, project specifications and completion of precise take off sheets. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with nominated Project Leads and Specialist Consultants throughout tender and submission process. Supporting the preparation of project overview reports and updating Directors on all tender submissions realised by the culmination of a structured project handover post tender award.

Responsible for developing new work streams and maintaining existing good relationships with clients and consultants with a view to seek out new business opportunities. Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a persuasive and professional attitude to ensure effective communication throughout the PQQ and tender process.

Although the primary function of the role will be Electrical estimating, exposure to Mechanical estimating would be advantageous. The successful candidate should be dynamic and have demonstrable experience of delivering successful electrical estimating within the range of £30,000 to £1.5M.

It’s essential to the success of the role that the candidate is able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail and can work effectively as part of a multi skilled team.
