TXM Recruit are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Key Account Manager, based in Doncaster, for one of our key engineering clients.
Working as part of the Account Management Team, this role will take responsibility for retaining existing sales, identifying new business opportunities within an existing designated customer portfolio and converting them into profitable sales to ensure you meet Unipart Rails targets for sales, profit and growth.

A comprehensive knowledge of the Rail industry
An in-depth knowledge of business processes. Experience of a customer facing role and self-driven with the ability to work alone. Able to engage people, with a proven record of solving issues to tight timescales.
Our client are open to reviewing candidates who are outside of the rail industry, with their main focus being on hiring someone from a key accounts background, with a history of business retention and client liaison and relationships

Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Health & Safety is maintained and upheld throughout all operations.
- Develop and maintain the CRM database accurately and in a timely manner updating the business where necessary.
- Support the maintenance and development of Customer Account Plans.
- Attend regular operational reviews with the customer.
- Production of agendas/minutes/information packs.
- Generate and monitor account performance KPIs/Dashboard ensuring regular reports are circulated internally and issued to the Customer.
- Resolving customer related issues/complaints and escalating where necessary.
- Supporting the Business Development Manager to improve the customer engagement position.
- Plan, prepare and support bid responses for your designated customers
- Communicate new products and services to customers with a view to generate profitable sales.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and provide the Business Development Management Team with market activity feedback.
- Provide information to the Business Development Manager to enable them to produce monthly reports.
