OLE Construction Manager - OLEC 4/5 in United Kingdom
I am looking for an experience OLE Construction Manager, to work on a long term project based in the South West
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Reporting to the OLE Project Manager, as the Construction Manager for OLE you are responsible for the management and successful completion of construction works, ensuring compliance with company procedures throughout.
Key responsibilities include
Management and delivery of the works in accordance with the programme schedule and budget
Management and coordination of construction teams engaged in implementing rail system works
Liaison with multiple disciplines within the delivery team to ensure all departments are coordinated and communicating effectively to achieve an integrated programme of works
Reading and understanding design drawings for estimating material call off requirements and construction methodology
Liaison with outside agencies and authorities
Managing and production of risk assessments prior to works commencing, ensuring safe systems of work are being adhered too
Assessment of proposed working methods implemented by subcontractors and contractors prior to work commencing to ensure it is suitable and safe
Ensuring completion of works is achieved with minimal disruption to surrounding environments
Ensuring staff are appropriately trained and equipped to carry out their duties, and to encourage their career development
Clearly understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented and achieved at every level of works
Oversee possession management team activities
Holding and/or attending regular review meetings
Coordination of construction resources alongside the schedule
Maintaining and operating within the company and Network Rail Safety Critical Procedures
Person Specification
Excellent communication skills, including drafting of written documentation
Able to work within a team
Adaptable, motivated and uses own initiative
Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Highly-organised
Minimum Requirements
Degree, HND or HNC in Construction Management as minimum
OLEC 4/5
Previous experience in the Rail Industry and Network Rail OHLE Projects
Ability to communicate the planning strategy for complex projects to the wider team
Experience of working within a collaborative environment
Personal Track Safety
