Operations Manager
Location: Sheffield
Schedule: Monday to Friday
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Power Networks Division.
Role purpose:
As part of your day to day role, you are responsible for the following;
- To support the technical, operational and delivery functions within the Power Networks department by providing the necessary support to enable the function to deliver.
- Provide engineering and technical support to deliver works on DNO and ICP projects as defined in the host DNO’s policies & procedures to time, cost & quality standards.
- Deliver Contracts manager duties and attend relevant client meetings.
- Stakeholder management and engagement will all involved parties.
- Management of both Linbrooke and its sub-contract resource whilst working on our behalf
- The safe operational delivery of works as defined by the host DNO / IDNO
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business position including financials
- Carry out project reviews pre start on NPG LVO schemes to ascertain engineering involvement.
- Provide on site technical support and operational involvement as and when required to complete projects in a safe manner.
- Carry out technical site audits in line with SMT monthly reporting -
- Oversee technical design scopes with using external and internal resource as and when required to provide compliant and feasible delivery solutions.
- Work collaboratively with internal operations to ensure adequate resource, materials and plant are correctly prices and utilised on project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all company H&S policies throughout design and installation operations.
- Attend weekly / monthly management meetings with contributions to agreed performance metrics.
- Input to and lead where applicable on assigned bids, work cohesively as part of the SMT and wider organisation in delivering quality tender submissions to deadlines

Essential
- Proven contracts management experience within the electricity indust
- Driving Licence
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Project safety management experience
- Working knowledge of safety, quality and environmental procedures
- Basic IT skill
Desirable
- Hold suitable electrical qualification and authorisations
- SAP / AP Authorisation with a DNO previously
- Multi-disciplined skills background
- Safety qualification
