We are looking to fill a position for a Principal Civil Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team within a large UK-based engineering consultancy, based in Ipswich. The role will require knowledge of design using Eurocodes or British Standards and experience of working with Local Authority Agencies such as the Highways Agency or Environmental Agency. This team is a very dynamic one and features projects from railways, highways and other civil structures, giving the applicant the opportunity to increase their knowledge across a range of disciplines.

The right candidate will have demonstrable Civil Engineer experience across a range of projects and will have the opportunity of leading a team of other dedication and professional engineers from a range of Civil backgrounds, though previous evidence of working as a team leader is essential. Carrying out inspections and interpreting engineering defects to existing structures to produce technical reports is a required element of this role. Furthermore, you will have experience of business development and dealing with a range of clients from various backgrounds.

 

Job Requirements:

-          Demonstrable Civil experience across a range of projects and sectors

-          Experience of leadings teams of other engineers is essential

-          Working with Local Authority Agencies (Highways Agency/Environment Agency/etc)

-          Chartered with either Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE)


-          UK Driving licence
