Were supporting a major UK infrastructure programme to identify a Project Controls Manager with experience in large-scale civils delivery. This is a route wide role, with empthaiss on Prelims, consents and earned value.
It would be of interest if you have operated in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor environment and understand how cost, schedule, risk, and change all link together
The role sits within a central controls function, supporting project teams and contractors to track performance against the baseline. Youll be part of the decision-making loop, not just reporting figures but helping shape the forward view.
There is an increasing focus on earned value, construction progress estimates, and looking at risk.
The Role
This is a role, with clear progression, and isnt a final stop, equally if you can demonstrate your ability via the STAR technique, that you can undertake these functions it could be a fantastic step up from part of a small team, into the largest civil engineering project.

The Role
- Maintain integrated baselines across scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality
- Drive earned value and project performance reporting
- Coordinate inputs from supply chain and delivery teams
- Analyse trends, challenge assumptions, and support governance
- Lead schedule reviews and manage change control process
- Line manage assistant-level controls staff and support cross-functional delivery
- Experience in a project controls role on infrastructure or engineering projects
- Solid understanding of schedule and cost systems (e.g. Primavera P6, Prism)
- Awareness of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts and how change is captured
- Confidence to engage with commercial, delivery, and planning teams
- Ability to spot risk trends and support project teams with practical insights
