Project Engineer / Manager

£30,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Ford & Stanley the Rail Recruitment Consultancy are currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager for a major client.
Key responsibilities
* Overall successful execution and completion of all allocated projects.
* Liaising with the client and other project stakeholders. This may involve travel to customers, suppliers and project worksites.
* Co-ordination of all internal departments to ensure program deadlines and deliverables are met to achieve the project programme.
* Manage and maintain budgets, and provide concise reporting to the Contracts & Commercial Manager.
* Manage, maintain and develop the project programme, in order to appraise the client and the Senior Management Team on progress.
* Ensure the project is delivered on programme, on budget, to the correct specification and safely.
* Build and maintain a team to deliver the above. Highlighting any potential resource issues.
* Awareness and adherence to Health, Safety, legal and regulatory requirements.
* Create, lead and co-ordinate the project team.
* Co-ordination of design, manufacture, despatch, installation and commissioning using established company procedures and the Project Management Plan.
* Ensuring contract is delivered on time, on budget, safely and in accordance with the client's specification.
* Instil a customer focused culture and a right first time approach.
* Ensure clearly defined budget and program is adhered to and maintained through to contract completion.
* Achieving project milestones through utilisation of a clear project programme.
* Co-ordinate timely procurement of materials and sub-contractors.
* Ensure timely generation of invoices and expediting of payment by the commercial team.
* Manage and maintain the Risk Register to identify and mitigate all project risks.
* Chair regular project review meetings with the project team.
* Produce regular project status report for Manager
* Ensure all deliveries are shipped, delivered and received to the clients satisfaction.
