My client, a well known rail contractor are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a major rail contract in London. This is a long term freelance position which will sit inside of IR35 meaning the selected candidates will need to be either PAYE through Randstad or via an Umbrella company.
The selected candidate will have a broad experience across all rail aspects including track, civils, build and also OLE.
This contract will extend for a minimum of 12 months but has the opportunity to continue for a few years.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Working alongside the Contracts Manager Commerical team to ensure delivery
- Practical application of Project Management techniques in transport setting
- Assisting with the contract with multiple interfaces, to time and budget
- Setting up and managing the construction plans
- Helping to ensure the project is set to be on time and within budget
- Working closely with your a team of Agents and Engineers
- Liaising with the client
- Weekly and monthly planning and forecasting
Candidate requirements:
- Degree qualifies in Construction, Engineering or equivalent
- Have previous experience as a Project Manager
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A valid CSCS card
