Angel Trains has instructed RGS Executive to support in the recruitment of a Project Manager as a result of the advancement of a previously appointed candidate to a different role in the company.

The company has on-going activities in vehicle procurement and vehicle upgrade, refurbishment and repair in accordance with planned maintenance, developments in technology and performance requirements.

This particular role focus’s around projects arising from rolling stock re-leasing situations with involvement at early stages in the development of specifications, potential project milestones, fleet life-cycle models and project governance leading to longer term involvement in project delivery.

The role will include engagement with colleagues across the business including commercial managers as well as customer and supply chain representatives.

Based in the London or Derby office, the role works within a multi-disciplinary, professional level team environment and could be a base for further career development.

• Candidates should ideally be graduate level engineers (or equivalent) with chartered status (or working towards such status) and have rolling stock engineering knowledge.

• You should have suitable project management experience ideally supported by qualifications such as APM/Prince 2 or similar.

• Project management governance, project mobilisation and familiarity with documentation such as gant charts and risk registers will also be indicators of suitable backgrounds.

The role is most likely to be recruited on a two year fixed term contract basis, with possible further options thereafter, with remuneration comprising a strong basic salary and a benefits package offering choices concerning its’ allocation.
