PSR Rail are currently working with a Principal Contractor who are looking to recruit a Project Planner.
Key aspects of the role involve
- Produce, maintain and communicate integrated baseline programmes and forecasts
- Update the Construction programme on a Weekly Basis and produce a 4 week look ahead.
- Attend meetings on site as necessary
- Produce monthly updated programmes, progress reports and revised forecasts
- Incorporate change events into programme and advise of any deviation from the baseline programme
- Liaise with key stakeholders (design, land, utilities teams) to ensure links between interdependent programmes are maintained and monitored
- Assist in the production of Earned Value Analysis
- Monitor monthly variances of key milestones
Person Specification
- Thorough understanding and experience in the use of project management Primavera P3 and P6 software. Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis.
- Ability to Plan Construction Works from First Principles, preferably with experience in both planning works in multi discipline Rail Projects and Civils Projects and including design phases.
- Experience of the impact that commercial events and activities have on the baseline programme.
- Experience in recognition and recording of any change in requirements.
- Experience of actively measuring and monitoring performance and the presentation of the results in a logical manner to support continuous improvement.
- Experience in the interpretation of data and information and producing it in a clear and logical format.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
- Ability to deliver major projects and possess the organisational skills required to do so to demanding deadlines.
- Ability to develop friendly and professional stakeholder focused relations with others.
- Good management skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve.
