Job Title – Project Site Manager

Location – York

Rate - £ Negotiable per day

Duration – Initial 6 months

The role of a Project Site Manager:

You will have an excellent safety culture across project disciplines, supporting the Construction Manager to deliver the whole package of work, this will include:

Ensuring that all plant / resources have relevant competencies / certification;

Ensuring that all relevant paperwork, task briefs, WPP’s. safety briefs are in place and have been briefed;

Conducting regular audits on each discipline reviewing safety and quality;

Providing regular reports detailing shift progress;

Attending project construction meetings to review site progress and performance;

Ensuring that the performance of suppliers and Sub-Contractors is monitored by surveillance and inspection and that the contract specification and all relevant standards are implemented in totality

Responsible for Health & Safety and Environmental management as defined in the Construction Phase Plan and the Environmental Plan.

Providing site instruction where required to progress works

Undertaking project site inductions as required

You will ideally have/be:

Experience of working on large scale Main line signalling projects managing civils and signalling construction / Installation

Required to work nightshifts due to project access

Managing civils sub-contractors site activities – safety and quality

Qualifications

HNC in Engineering Discipline – preferably Civils or Electrical (Desirable)

IRSE Installation Managers License (Desirable)

CITB SMSTS or CITB SSSTS

SWL1 / COSS / IWA

ALO Site Co-ordinator
