Salary: £35-40K + Bonus

Job Description: You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining agreed QHSE and other operating standards across the business and assisting with development of new systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acceptance and forwarding of external safety documentation.
- Conduct or assist with internal and external audits.
- Be familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and RISQS (desirable).
- Assurance that all procedures and disciplines are in line with current national and railway legislation.
- Assurance of efficient document control system set-up and maintenance.
- Maintenance of company’s technical library.
- Attend management meetings and advise on best practice regarding operational and procedural matters.
- Produce Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Carry out site safety Visits and Tours (Nationwide)
- Engage with safety representative, staff and our partners to produce mutually beneficial and safe methods of work.
- Advise management regarding current changes to Network Rail Company Standards, Railway Group Standards and legislation.
- Take part in feasibility studies.
- Have or be able to gain a Sentinel PTS (personal Track Safety) card.
Required Qualifications:
- Management experience (desirable)
- Must have at least a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Auditor or Verifier Qualification (Desirable)
- Good Communication & computer skills essential
JSD Rail have been involved with the National Rail borne Weed Spray planning program and Seasonal treatment fleets for a number of years. We are looking for highly motivated enthusiastic person to fulfil the role of QHSE Manager. You will need to be self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as with other members of the team. The role is a key part within the business, and you will be responsible for ensuring that companies Safety Management System is fit for purpose, as well as ensuring other safety practices key to the running of a successful business within a safety critical environment are correctly followed.
Attention to detail is paramount. Ideally, we are looking for a someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and who will relish the challenge of working in rapidly expanding company. A knowledge of the Railway would be an advantage but is not essential.
