Kelly Rail are looking for a committed and dedicated QS to join our Project team within the UK.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Liaise with the senior Commercial Manager
• Manage all aspects of the day-to-day commercial management and control on allocated projects.
• Manage all aspects of change control within the allocated projects and ensure client liaison on all commercial change matters.
• Ensure procurement strategy is in place and aligned with project targets
• Ensure cost control is manged and reported weekly.
• Ensure P&L reporting is managed and reported weekly.
• Ensure Monthly Applications are submitted in line with program to the client for each project.
• Ensure management of Subcontractors is in line with Kelly Rail process and procedures and commercial management of sub-contractors is in line with target forecasts
• Produce monthly allocated project commercial progress reports.
• Produce monthly allocated project cashflow forecasts.
• Liaise with client commercial teams on allocated projects.
REQUIREMENTS
• There will be a requirement for occasional travel.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent IT skills & awareness
• Experience in successful commercial management and delivery of Rail Projects.
• Experience working with Network Rail form of Contracts
• Experience working on NEC form of contracts
• 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Administrator within a contractor-side project environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple work packages.
• Proven track record in cost forecasting, change estimation, and budget control.
• Working towards or holding a professional qualification
