Rail Concrete Quality Specialist (QA/QC) Underground - Philippines

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced QA/QC Specialist with a strong knowledge of Concrete & Underground structures for a Metro project in Manila, Philippines that is moving into Construction phase.

Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a project which demonstrates the continued investment in the Manila Transport infrastructure. The successful individual shall be joining the team and playing a key role in its successful execution. You shall be working for a leading international consultancy on behalf of the end client.

Responsibilities:

The successful individual will working across Tunnelling & Stations components of the project with duties including:

• Reviewing Contractors Quality Document submissions, including Concrete Mix Designs, Inspection and Test Plans and Material Submissions.
• Ensure compliance to Project Requirements and Local / International Technical Standards for Concrete Works.
• Manage related concrete non-conformance issues and ensure implementation of corrective action proposals.
• Coordination with Client teams, Quality Team and Resident Engineer Teams on concrete (Reinforced Concrete and Precast Concrete) material and inspection activities and approvals.
• Site Supervision of Contractors Activities.

• Verify and manage compliance with quality receiving inspections covering cement, aggregates, reinforcing steel, related concrete materials and mix design constituents.
• Supervise site laboratory activities.
• Attend Contractors site concrete quality inspections, witnessing formwork and precast mould preparation, reinforcement installation, concrete placement including slump and temperature checks, and curing processes.
• Ensure verification of site records for compliance to drawings, materials, specifications and quality processes.

• Participate in routine Quality Team meetings.
• Report to Quality Team Leader and prepare end-of-day QC activity reports.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Rail construction projects
• Previous Quality Management experience.
• Developing world experience (ideally South or South East Asia)

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is in the region of $8-10,000 Tax free with a package.
