We are looking for a M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor with Rail experience to join our clients engineering services business on-site at their project in London on a major station capacity upgrade.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor they will look to you to maximise and protect the company’s commercial position by management of the commercial and administrative functions for the project, working closely with operational colleagues.

Duties will include:

• Provide commercial support for a project, working closely with the operational teams with sub contract procurement, package management and final account.
• Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Coordinate any responses required with Commercial Manager.
• Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional money.
• Understand true value to end of reporting period and comparison with actual cost expended

You can bring to the position:

• Experience in building services, mechanical and electrical
• NEC3 Contract
• Experience in sub contract procurement & package management
• Experience in rail projects
• Main Contracting experience
• Working in Join Ventures / collaborative alliances
