Regional Centre Safety Assurance Manager in Radlett, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
Due to our client winning high amounts of work for CP6 we on the look out for an experienced Regional Center Safety Assurance Manager. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join their team and work with one the biggest signalling companies on the market, and be part of a growing team with a great working ethos.
The UK Safety Assurance Team is responsible for assuring that these products and projects / schemes meet their legislative and customer requirements for safety across their operational life, from installation and commissioning through to eventual decommissioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product. Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review RAM, VI&T, T&C activities from a Safety perspective
- Build the Safety Reports and the Safety Case
- Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product)
- Ensure all periodic Safety Reviews and DFQ Gate reviews are achieved on time to maintain a consistent approach with Safety Assurance
- Defend Safety Case augmentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor
- Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product
- Provide engineering safety assurance to large and complex application projects or product introductions as Safety Assurance Manager for the project
- Manage the Safety Assurance activities and personnel for a series of Line of Route Projects, Technology Introduction or Discipline (such as Signalling (including Design), Interlockings, ETCS (Trackside or Trainborne) technology, Control Centres) on behalf of the UK Regional Centre Safety Manager
POST-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS
- Practical Railway industry experience in safety engineering or safety assurance and systems engineering
- Experience assuring products in the Rail
- Understanding and practical application of conventional UK Signalling application and infrastructure projects
- Practical understanding and application of the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment and associated procedures and application
- Practical understanding and application of the CENELEC Standards including BSEN50126/8/9 and associated procedures and application
