We are currently recruiting a Requirements Manager to maintain existing requirements for the Gatwick Airport redevelopment project while working closely with the Sponsorship team to establish requirements for new projects
As a Requirements Manager, your main responsibilities would be:
- Establishing the structure for the ownership, content and assessment of requirements.
- Supporting the Sponsor in writing the requirements and loading them into the DOORs system, managing any changes and establishing the baseline.
- Identifying synergies and conflicts between requirements of individual rail projects / programmes and managing any associated changes required.
- Managing the development of programme requirement specifications, using appropriate analysis and evaluation to demonstrate that the correct scope has been defined to meet the Rail team’s goals.
- Producing client remits and undertaking business appraisals for all allocated Rail projects/ programmes.
- Developing and establishing benefits cases for allocated projects / programmes checking the alignment of these with the overall rail benefits case.
- Developing and managing effective relationships with all acceptance authorities, both internal and external, as required.
- Supporting Engineering & Sponsor teams with verification that the design and delivery of works demonstrate compliance to Requirements.
You’ll have:
- Detailed understanding of railway operational control systems
- Experience of approval of complex and integrated systems
- Detailed knowledge of interoperability directives and regulations
- Experience of liaising with regulatory bodies
- Good commercial awareness
- A background in systems engineering or similar
