Location: London (Dartford area)
Pay: £19.50 per hour (PAYE) / £25.35 per hour (Umbrella)
Shifts: 4 on 4 off – 2 early (06:00am–18:00pm), 2 late (12:00noon–00:00pm)

As a Rolling Stock Technician specialising in service train interior repairs, your skills ensure passenger comfort and safety across the network. Every bathroom fixture you repair, every panel you restore, every door you adjust contributes to a seamless travel experience for thousands of passengers.
The role:
Step into a mobile, hands-on role where every day brings variety, challenges, and the chance to make a real difference for passengers. Your work will be visible, valued, and vital to keeping trains running smoothly. You’ll be:
- Bringing train interiors back to life, focusing on bathrooms, sinks, toilets, flush mechanisms, hand dryers, panels, and doors, every repair you make improves the passenger experience.
- Using your problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and fix faults, keeping trains on schedule and passengers comfortable.
- Conducting quality checks and assessments that ensure safety, hygiene, and comfort are always at the highest standard.
- Organising and managing tools, parts, and stock efficiently, helping the team stay prepared and effective.
- Keeping clear records of your work, showcasing the impact of your expertise and professionalism.
- Enjoying the balance of independent work and teamwork, adapting to mobile assignments and supporting colleagues to achieve excellent results together.

What would help you thrive:
- Experience in mechanical fitting or plumbing, ideally with hands-on exposure to interior fixtures or a facilities background.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with attention to detail, safety, and quality.
- Rolling stock experience or PTS certification is desirable but not essential, full training can be provided.
- Confidence working independently in a mobile environment and a collaborative mindset when supporting your team.
- Ability to attend jobs alone and confidence to carry out assessments and work in service.
