SET Project Engineer in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* To provide support and assistance in order to deliver signalling, electrification and telecommunications elements of projects.
* To prepare design documentation, drawings and specifications.
* To develop detailed project plans in consultation with the SET planner and track progress of same.
* Measure project performance and report KPI's to senior management as required.
* Manager project risks, both technical and commercial.
* To develop tender documentation in consultation with the QS/Contracts Manager.
* To liaise with other internal departments and with any 3rd party consultants/Vendors to deliver project tasks.
* Co-ordination of internal resources and external 3rd parties/vendors to deliver projects on time, within scope and within budget.
* Manage interfaces with Capital projects to include but not limited to the DART + programme, the National Train Control Centre (NTCC) and the Train Protection System (TPS).
* Manage the interface with client and all project stakeholders (internal & external)
* Ensure that all projects are in line with SET standards and processes and that all design and /or construction elements of projects meet the requirements of current legislation.
* Membership of Professional body is desired.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Engineering Degree (level 8) or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering or relevant technical discipline
* Project Management qualification.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience working on technical teams.
* Ability to produce and maintain documentation to a high standard.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
