Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting an SRM Specialist technical Author/ Liaison Engineer for an international technical publications organisation who work closely with a number of world-class manufacturers in the defence, aerospace and rail industries.
£25,000-£30,000 per annum (dependent on experience), Pension contributions, 22+8 holidays per year, flexible working hours + paid overtime.
The Opportunity
The opportunity will focus on the creation of Structural Repair Manuals for a new Business-Class Jet Airplane on behalf of a world-class aircraft manufacturer.
Location (s): The position is based specifically from the Bristol offices.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Be the Sole contact between the production facilities and the end Customer.
- Be the businesses representative at face to face meetings.
- Produce reports on scheduling and KPI’s
- Provide Technical Guidance and interpretation of provisional source data.
- Complete Quality Assurance check on SRM documents to ensure they are compliant with international and client specific standards
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be passionate, dynamic and quality driven to fit with the culture of the organisation. They must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a UK Driver’s License.
Essentials
- Proven experience in Authoring SRM Text to ATA iSpec 2200 and ASD STE100 Specifications.
- Previous knowledge of the EPIC and Sigmalink Authoring Tools.
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of source information including engineers notes, process descriptions, technical drawings, bills of materials and various images, including CAD data.
- Ability to achieve to the highest quality targets working to a comprehensive quality system.
Desirable
- Working Knowledge of Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs)
- Knowledge of SAP Production Systems and Processes.
- Competent in task scheduling and expediting.
