Safe System of Work Planner

The role of the Safe System of Work Planner is to support Project Teams within the designated span of control in order to ensure that all access requirements for rail possessions in relation to project delivery are researched, established, planned and requested in a timely manner, within project budget, and in accordance with Company Procedures, Rules, Regulations and Safety Legislation.

• Responsible for creation SWP in accordance with 019 standards, ensuring all planning time fences are achieved.
• Attend project meetings.
• Compile list of access requests and arranged access.
• Confirm access with Project Responsible Managers.
• Apply for agreed Line Blockages and access.
• Prepare SWP Packs for all access & possessions.
• Compile records of access types worked per period.
• Compile records of 20% responsible manager checks and feedback to contractors.
• Manage Line Blockage Protection Staff Resources and paperwork.
• Prepare trackers for distribution to project team.
• Attend safety briefs. As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience within rail planning and the flexibility to work on UK wide projects aswell as an understanding in project management and operational railway and associated safety procedures.
