We are currently looking for a Senior CAD Technician to be based in the Midlands area to work for one of the leading UK consultancies whom are renowned for technical excellence working on such project as HS2.

This would Bridge biased so experience in Bridge design and Civil Structures is essential. Within the role you will develop and maintain specific project models and drawing, developing schematic and detailed level models, including modelling structures elements and details.

You will be working within the Bridge, Civil Structures and Tunnels group, and will report to the CAD/BIM Manager or Project Manager as appropriate. This role will encompass Project Lead duties, coordinating with Engineers, Clients, and BIM Consultants & Sub-Contractors.

This could be an excellent opportunity for a Bridge Technician whom would be looking to move into a Senior Technician position.

Job requirements

• Relevant industry experience in Structural Drafting covering concrete and steelwork plus reinforcement detailing (could be working on either rail or highway bridge or structures schemes)
• Reinforcement Detailer with experience of Bridge Structures, being proficient in AutoCAD
• Extensive knowledge of and direct support experience in CAD/BIM software
