Morson Talent are recruiting for experienced SeniorCAD/BIM Technician on a permanent basis, position will be based in Glasgow.
Our client is an established engineering consultancy with expertise in rail, assets and infrastructure. They have a regional office network that provide civil and structural design, surveys and maintenance programmes within Rail, Assets & Infrastructure and Project Management.
Working closely with the Head of Rail, we are looking for ane experienced CAD/BIM Technician working as part of project teams developing a range of civil & structural engineering scheme solutions from initial concept through to detailed design for implementation.
BIM/CAD Technician with experience of using Bentley products and a minimum of 5 years within a consultancy practice with solid all round understanding of rail standards and principles.
Essential Criteria
EngTech, MICE or equivalent
• You will have experience of using Bentley products.
• Ability to produce all 2D and 3D design information required
• Be conversant with BS1192 relevant standards and guidance associated with delivering in a BIM environment to Level 2.
• You will have good technical and communication skills along with experience of undertaking a range of engineering related projects.
• HND or equivalent in AutoCAD or related course
• Minimum 5-years experience within consultancy practice
• Experience of applying design software (Civils3d, AutoCAD, Revit, Microdrainage etc)
• Working knowledge of design standards and procedures
Key Objectives
• Provide CAD/BIM support the delivery of engineering projects in accordance with company policy & procedures, including input to all project management systems (Synergist) and project QA system(s) where required
• Maintain an overview of developments in CAD/BIM technologies, relevant BIM standards and Codes of Practice.
• To produce safe and compliant designs to client scope and timescale
• Works under limited supervision performing complex technical work.
• Comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and increase own awareness of Health and Safety procedures.
