Our client, a leading consultancy in the buildings sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role is inside IR35 and focuses on a range of civil engineering design services, particularly in drainage solutions for building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the design and development of drainage systems for building projects
• Preparing comprehensive drainage strategy reports and flood risk assessments
• Utilising design software such as Causeway Flow, Info Drainage, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and QGIS to develop accurate designs
• Collaborating with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Preparing and delivering detailed technical reports and design documentation
• Working on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) strategies
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including S106 and S278 agreements
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and technicians as needed

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in drainage design, with road design being an advantage
• Strong report writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Proficiency in various design software, including REVIT (awareness), AutoCAD, and Civils 3D
• Experience in below ground drainage design and SuDS strategies
• Understanding of S106 and S278 agreements and their implementation
• Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategy reports
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (MICE)
• Accredited degree in Civil Engineering
• Ambitious and motivated individual with a desire to move into a managerial position
