Proven experience as a Project or Contracts Manager within rail infrastructure (mandatory).

Strong background in project delivery, including safety-critical environments.

Understanding of contract types (e.g., fixed price, cost reimbursable).

IT proficiency (Microsoft Office).

Must pass pre-employment and ongoing medicals, including drug/alcohol screening.

Desirable but not essential: Degree/HNC/HND in Project Management or related field.
Essential Experience:

Candidates must possess a strong background in rail infrastructure project management, either in a Project Manager or Contracts Manager capacity. Equivalent experience in similar high-compliance sectors (e.g., civil engineering, utilities, or construction) will also be considered if rail-specific knowledge can be demonstrated.
Project Delivery:

Full accountability for end-to-end project execution, including planning, resource allocation, access coordination, progress monitoring, and client reporting.

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with critical milestones.

Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish contingency measures to maintain project continuity.
Documentation & Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and maintenance of key project documentation, including:

Risk assessments, method statements, and safe work packs

Construction phase plans and task briefings

Site records, progress reports, and KPI tracking

Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, client-specific standards, and company governance protocols.
Team & Stakeholder Management:

Lead and mentor on-site and office-based teams, ensuring all personnel are appropriately trained and competent for assigned tasks.

Foster collaboration across internal departments and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and third-party suppliers.
Commercial Oversight:

Manage project budgets, procurement, and subcontractor agreements in line with approved processes.

Oversee change management, financial forecasting, and post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
