Senior Design Engineer – Signalling

£550- £650 per day

Are you an experienced Signalling Design Engineer ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re seeking a talented Senior Design Engineer to lead the delivery of complex and high-profile rail signalling and control system projects across the UK.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in directing signalling design activities from concept through to delivery. You’ll oversee project design teams to ensure all work meets technical, safety, and quality standards — delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Member of IRSE, IET, or another recognised professional body.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in signalling systems design and implementation.
• In-depth understanding of signalling design standards, principles, and operational requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness with good knowledge of project contracts and budgets.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.
• Working towards or holder of IRSE Design Manager Licence, Signalling Principles Designer (A, B, D, or E), and Signalling Design Verifier qualifications.
