Skills
An excellent knowledge developed over time in applying planning software to create clear, comprehensible and realistic programmes.
The ability to plan from first principles
Proven ability in using P6 Primavera planning software, a working knowledge of other planning software such as MS-Project or Asta Powerproject
Experience in using MS-Office to support in producing robust planning solutions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good level of NEC3 knowledge, and knowledge of how it should be applied to the contract programme
Understanding of construction design
Good level of IT skills.
Experience and Knowledge
Experience and knowledge of construction industry - awareness of current techniques.
Knowledge of Network Rail processes and assurance procedures. Experienced at working within a Rail environment.
Engineering knowledge with relevant experience in suitable disciplines, such as Structures, Buildings, M&E, Geotechnical and/or rail disciplines like permanent way, signalling, telecoms and E&P.
Qualifications
Educational
Degree qualified in a Civil Engineering or related course (or equivalent relevant experience)
Having aspirations of Professional membership with a recognised and relevant Professional body, i.e. Institution of Civil Engineers and having a clear plan to achieve such status.
Completion of courses relevant to a career in planning

CSCS card
Personal Track Safety and Industry Common Induction
