We are currently looking for a Senior Track Design Engineer, specifically with a background in Track alignment to work on HS2, with the role being based in Birmingham. As the Senior Track Design Engineer you will provide technical and professional support for Track Alignment Engineering, developing standards and technical requirements for the discipline, which includes providing engineering assurance that design of track and resolving issues where appropriate.  Within the role you will provide technical expertise and advice relating to the track alignment to both the wider organisation and external stakeholders, which includes support in assuring that the design for track alignment is configured and installed in accordance with standards and technical requirements.

 
Job Requirements

• Ideally 10+ years experience within Track/Permanent Way Design
• Strong Design background and a good command of design software such a Bentley Power Rail, Bentley Rail Track, MX Rail or similar
• Strong background in Track alignment
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering and safety standards, activity on large complex major projects/ programmes within a complex infrastructure delivery programme.
• Experience of managing competing project and engineering demands, with cost and schedule implications.
