A brilliant opportunity has become available working with a railway engineering contractor in Derby, as their Social Value Environmental Advisor. This is the perfect role for an individual who is able to liaise with different types of people; steakholders, communities and individuals, involved in community health and wellbeing - involved in the social side to the Environment and Sustainability team.
The role will involve:
Experience and Qualifications:
The role will involve:
- Leading the Network Rail Community relations events and liaising with the project communirt in the management of stakeholder communications and community investment opportunities
- Planning community events, STEM ambassador events etc.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and best practice
- Community engagement and social value across the business
- Ensure that staff understand the Social Value Policy and Strategy
- Organisational contact for Partner Organisations, Charities and Voluntary Organisations
- Compling with company policy and procedures
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience of supporting construction projects to identify and manage social value opportunities preferable within rail
- Knowledge of NR and legal standards relating to Social Value act 2012
- Proactive & positive attitude whilst working as part of the HSQE team
- Ability to network and communicate in a friendly and effective manner with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent presentation skills
- Knowledgeable of the Social Value Act (2012)
- Ability to drive and travel as required for the role
