A leading UK technology and infrastructure provider is seeking a Maintenance Communications Engineer to support and maintain critical communication systems used across the rail network. The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring communication systems operate reliably and efficiently. This includes performing maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, system updates, and documentation across a range of hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair communication systems including CCTV, PAVA, radio equipment, UPS units, network switches, and bespoke technologies.

Monitor system performance and resolve issues to reduce downtime.

Conduct routine inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance.

Configure and update hardware, software, and firmware where required.

Document all maintenance activities, configurations, and incidents.

Provide technical support to internal teams.

Manage hardware inventory and spare parts when needed.
What We're Looking For

Eligible for permanent, full-time employment

Full UK driving licence

Flexibility to work during scheduled periods (details discussed at interview)

General understanding of communication systems

Preferable experience with:

IP CCTV (e.g., Verint, Bosch)

PA Systems (amplifiers, PA routers)

Network switches (Cisco, HP)
