Track Setting Out Engineer in Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom
Large light rail project located in Birmingham currently requires an experienced engineer for setting out track levels and tolerances.
The project is an extensive scheme that is currently implementing and enhancing the regions tram network.
The role undertakes a link to multi-disciplinary design, construction and commissioning of Switch & Crossing, Slab Track installation, Line renewal and Enhancement works in a busy city centre location.
The Track Engineer will deliver renewal, enhancement and refurbishment of new and existing high and low speed junctions, station remodelling schemes and line gradient variations.
Your experience will include:
- Significant experience in setting out and track based engineering disciplines, ideally with specific involvement in track construction and design projects across multi discipline areas
- Experience of managing line side Rail Civils Projects including platforms, troughing, signal bases, bridges, tunnels, stations.
- Proven track record of setting out and engineering duties particularly around track tolerances, imbedded track, track alignment, setting out drainage and track gauges.
This is a setting out role for somebody that have led a track based project preferably in an busy urban environment.
The role is long-term with a signiant portfolio of project to deliver over the next few years
