U&A TEAM Survey Lead
Pre & Post Construction Condition Surveys (Defect Surveys, Drainage Surveys, Land condition Surveys and Drainage works)
ROLE PURPOSE Responsible to lead the management and risk mitigation of pre & post condition surveys, and associated construction works for the.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- All construction related surveys.
- Defect Surveys and Settlement deed:
- Implement the Settlement Deeds process in accordance with Implementation manual and project requirements and maintains the Register of Settlement Deeds and makes the Register available for review by the Project Manager.
- Use the SRM correctly for the management of all Settlement Deed activities, the recording all contact details and correspondence, and the monitoring of compliance with all time limits and/or constraints for actions and responses.
- Undertakes to maintain the obligations arising from Settlement Deeds as set out in the Employer's Information Paper C3 Ground Settlement (IP C3) Ensure Deed letters are sign by the contractor’s representative.
- Assist to identify all eligible property owners that may be impacted by the authorised works.
- Responsible for management of all survey data including construction progress, production of graphical and tabular output, attend meetings and data presentation where required, and for co-ordinating the up-and downloading of information to and from the company Database and respective systems.
- Implement the Pre & Post construction Defect Condition Surveys process in accordance with technical procedures and project requirements and maintains the Register of Defect Surveys and makes the Register available for review by the Project Manager.
- Undertakes to maintain the obligations arising from Defect Condition Surveys as set out in the Employer's Information Paper C3 Ground Settlement (IP C3)
- Lead to develop and maintain progress trackers, process flow charts and any other progress presentation setup.
- Land Drainage Survey:
- Review all the Ground Assessment Data provided by the design partner. Check exported data is shared correctly and ensure data quality and the identification of anomalous data takes place.
- Review all Farm Packs and align the survey process
- Oversight of the Pre and Post construction drainage Surveys process in accordance with technical procedures and project requirements and maintains the Register of Defect Surveys and makes the Register available for review by the Project Manager.
- Undertakes to maintain the obligations arising from Drainage Surveys as set out in the Employer's Information Paper and Code of Construction Practice
- Assist to identify all eligible Survey locations that may be impacted by the authorised works from the Farm Packs
- Oversight of the subcontractor and ensure the obligations of the Employer, including any remediation work arising from construction and Drainage Surveys to the satisfaction of the Project Manager. Coordinate administration of the Surveys and monitor survey progress.
- Coordinate the delivery of focused support to the performance and assurance of drainage surveys.
- Land Condition Survey:
- Oversight of the Pre and Post construction land condition Surveys process in accordance with technical procedures and project requirements and maintains the Register of Surveys and makes the Register available for review by the Project Manager.
- Conduct land condition survey where required.
- Oversight of the subcontractor and ensure the obligations of the Employer, including any remediation work arising from construction and land condition Surveys to the satisfaction of the Project Manager. Coordinate administration of the Surveys and monitor survey progress.
- And any other construction related surveys including site visits.
- Record all communications with stakeholders as evidence in line with GDPR requirements.
- Collaborate with the company, community engagement, stakeholders, and other contractors in support of project objectives.
- Provide general administrative support for U&A tasks.
- To comply with and support team compliance with company and client safety standards
- Support the escalation of issues and sharing of good practice.

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
REQUIRED The following qualities/experience are essential:
- An enthusiastic approach
- Previous experience in the surveys, ground works, structures, and heavy civil works.
- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
- Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
- Ability to visit survey location to conduct, monitor and verify surveys, produce survey reports where required.
- Ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Organisational and Analytical Skills.
- Ability to follow procedures.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Proactive, positive approach
- Data analysis
- Experience of major construction schemes and / or major infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of GIS systems
- Communication, teamworking skills
- degree qualified with extensive groundworks or survey experience.
