Authorities / Power

The Site Manager has the full responsibility and authority to secure a safe and successful realisation of the wind farm / installation of WTs in terms of cost, quality and time. Authorities included, but are not limited to:

• To make decisions and issue directives within the site organisation within the scope of relevant rules and with the support of the project manager
• To lead the site team with regards to what, when, where, how
• To obtain and receive all information related to the site activities of the project
• For expenses at site in line with the allocated budget in agreement with PM

Key Tasks and Responsibilities / Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Adhering to all HSE standards, protocol's and best practices, exhibiting an upstanding culture of safety and safe work for all, while also ensuring the preservation of the surrounding natural environment
• Intervene, stop and prohibit ongoing construction is immediate danger is detected; address workers of continuous inadequate handling of WT's components
• Cooperate with the project manager in the planning and preparation of the site
• Participate of the site kick-off meeting to be provided with the necessary documentation from the PM
• Organisation of the subcontractors according to erection strategy

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Basic Knowledge of the technical aspects driving the wind industry
• Leadership skills; building a proactive and focused team across various departments
• HSE awareness
• Willingness to travel for long periods and work 6 days a week

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Manager / Coordinator in civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry, the wind energy sector and/or similar industries/energy sectors
• Bachelor in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; Master's degree (preferable) in an industry related program.

Required Certifications

• GWO
• Valid Medical evaluations
• Occupational health & safety instruction
• Fall arrester trainings
• Car driving license, European Class B
