Main Purpose
We offer a variety of enabling works including Brush cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from Bridge bearings, removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, brickwork removal/reinstatement, fence removal/reinstatement, debris removal and pigeon netting removal/reinstatement.
The Works Supervisor is to provide annotated enabling works reports illustrating before, during and after photos with quantifiable measurements of works completed. Required to be flexible with working location across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes and Safety Responsibility Matrix.
- Work closely with the Enabling works Manager(s) to ensure that work is planned to optimise the use of available resources.
- Work closely with the Planning Team to ensure that all SSOW documentation, track access and safety critical resource requirements are in place to deliver the programme.
- Be responsible for all site team members.
- Make arrangements for all non-rail access, plant and equipment necessary to undertake the enabling works.
- Undertake site recognisance to ensure that all required enabling works are identified in a timely manner and then co-ordinated with the Enabling Works manager, in line with the examination programme.
- Be forward facing to the client/s and be an Xeiad ambassador to all general public.
- To lead / develop and mentor the Assistant Examiner Engineers and Examiner Engineers through annual appraisal skills gap analysis.
- Be willing to develop through training and time served to progress your career to a supervisory level.
- To undertake a variety of enabling works including Brush cutting, hedge trimming, Clearing debris from Bridge bearings, Removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, Brickwork removal/reinstatement, Fence Removal/reinstatement and a flexible can do attitude to progress and expand our Enabling work ability.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- GCSE English and Maths
- IT Literate (Microsoft Office)
- COSS/PIC
- Personal Track Safety (PTS)
- Full driving licence
