Senior Mine Planning Engineer
TXM Recruit are currently working with a Multi-National, Heavy Industry client who are currently in the process of expanding their Engineering Division, in Pilbara, Western Australia. Due to this expansion, they now have a requirement for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to manage the mine planning team in achieveing medium and short term plans and design activities to achieve all production, quality and cost targets.
Role Outline:
The main purpose of the role is to manage the mine planning team and increasing productivity to hit all production, quality and cost targets. this will include timely delivery of robust short & medium term mine plans on a monthly & quartely basis. Ensure mentoring is provided to mine planning and design engineers and acting as a key interface between the production planning team and mining operations team.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have come from either a background in mining development or operations, being able to demonstrate difficulties that have had to be overcome, and successful development programs planned/managed. Ideally a degree in either mining engineering or a similar qualification in engineering would be ideal. Mine planning experience is essential.
Key Accountabilities:
"Timely delivery of robust short and medium term mine plans on a monthly and quarterly basis
"Mentoring and supervising the mine planning and design engineers
"Acting as a key interface between the production planning team and mine operations
"Validation of data for and delivery of monthly reports and presentations to key stakeholders
"Identifying and communicating all mine development issues, risks and opportunities within the short to medium-term planning horizon
"Improving systems and tools to develop current planning methods
"Driving conformance to plan through reconciliation of pit development, review and analysis of performance against planning parameters and engagement with the site operational leadership team
On Offer:
Our client will assist with a 457 Visa, enabling you to work for 4 years within Australia and apply for permanent residency after 2 years.
A very competitive salary of $150 - $160,000 per annum (£98,000 - £105,000 p/a) with a company pension of 10% of your annual salary contributed by the company, 10% performance bonus.
The role is based on a "Fly In, Fly Out" Roster which is 9 days on, 5 days off.
The FIFO camp is fully equipped with gym, tennis courts, basketball, squash courts, pool and cricket pitch!
Re-location package to Western Australia.
