Position - Full Summary
To support Company's Design and Engineering department in the production of Telecommunication system detailed designs which include MicroStation drawings and layouts required for submission in overall design documentation.
The role will involve interpreting detailed survey information of railway infrastructure and producing detailed electronic drawings of civil, mechanical, electrical, floor plans and general arrangements.
ProjectWise CDE is utilised to manage the graphical material for project design and therefore the relevant workflows will need to be adhered to.
Working with the various project teams to update and revise existing drawings and documentation to reflect additional scope and changes to design detail.
Compiling documentation and drawings into correct format for submission to clients, including redline design packs, Engineering change requests and As-Built information.
Fully responsible for execution of assigned projects throughout all stages of the design, solution realization and deployment process.

Responsibilities

• Managing their deliverables for their design element from design stage through to As-Built phase.
• Production of layout plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings for various stages of the project lifecycle.
• Production of BIM QA compliant models, composite models, and drawings within ProjectWise CDE.
• Ensure that the Company's design solutions are undertaken with consideration of commercial, programme implications and risks/hazards.
• Implementing health and safety risk assessments at design stage, ensuring designs are prepared and/or modified to avoid foreseeable health and safety risks at installation stage.
• Maintaining ProjectWise workflows and asset data information.
• Able to work as part of a dynamic team, as well as demonstrating individual drive and ownership of allocated tasks.
• Knowledgeable in the BIM field and able to advise and suggest different ways of working to support the growth of the Engineering-Applications department.
• Support the culture of continuous HSE improvement.
• Communicate any concerns regarding Safety.
• Attend training events at the Company's premises and those of third-party training organisation.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

• At least 5 years' experience working in a BIM engineering environment.
• Knowledge of British Standards, experience of Railway standards.
• Profound understanding of technical drawings and draftsmanship
• Experience of Railway Communication systems
• Knowledge of the design development process and submission in MicroStation and ProjectWise beneficial
• Handover and MAID delivery.
