My client is an expert Structural & Civil Engineering services firm for the construction industry in the West Yorkshire area. They are currently recruiting for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their busy Sheffield office to work on a wide spread of projects providing geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting services.

You will provide a comprehensive range of services from feasibility / desk studies, through site investigations and geotechnical design, specification and procurement to advice during construction and preparation of verification and validation reporting.

The requirements you will need to have;

• Contributing to projects as team member developing business relationships, communicating with the client(s)
• Developing and implementing geotechnical field investigations and laboratory testing programs
• Assisting with and/or carrying out various data analysis
• Carrying out Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies
• Assisting with various field activities, including assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and leading geotechnical investigations
• Supervising field technicians and (earthwork and drilling) subcontractors
• Developing technical skills and sharing these skills with other members of the project team
• Developing project management skills appropriate to your level and background
• Full UK vehicle driving licence
