RSS INFRASTRUCTURE Limited (RSSI), has been recognised by Network Rail at the 2018 ‘Rail Partnership Awards’ for its work within the Rail and Construction industry, developing bespoke solutions for clients that deliver improved safety and productivity.
RSS Infrastructure are the only established provider of all forms of Equipment Warning Systems. Equipment warning is commonly being seen as a safer alternative to the historic approach of providing up to 5 un-assisted lookouts announcing the approach of trains via flag’s and horns.
Track Warning systems are increasingly seen as a genuine, and often safer method of accessing the NR infrastructure, even when compared to line blocks. Increasingly the reliance on line blockages reduces productivity, increasing risk due to the inexperienced workforce being fast tracked into COSS or supervisory roles and taking wrong lines or inappropriate communication skills. Line blocks can also create a false impression of what is safe with the workforce developing an immunity to the risks around them. It is virtually impossible for any member of the workgroup to ignore a 100+ decibel alarm along with visual warning method, all controlled by our site operator who can also act as COSS but will not be involved in the work activities., thus having a primary focus on the safety of the work group.
Our system can be planned for literally any situation, providing solutions for safe and productive work activities allowing our clients to focus on providing safe, cost effective delivery of track renewals.
