Due to our client winning high amounts of work on CP6, we are looking for a EHS Advisor. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to work for a tier 1 global contractor in the rail sector.
POSITION OVERVIEW
To undertake the duties of an EHS Advisor supporting multiple projects within SS&I such as renewals and enhancement schemes which vary in size from updating and improving life expired signalling equipment to installing and commissioning new equipment. Roles will be based across the different sites dependent on the project requirements
The EHS Project Advisor must ensure personal compliance with national health & safety legislation, including all statutory provisions relating to the following:
- To advise the Project, Teams on all EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) where applicable (shifts as necessary)
- To provide support for & to monitor all aspects of Occupational Health & Safety, Quality & Environment specifically Risk Assessments and associated controls.
- To undertake project inspections and audits as necessary.
- Support the development of project procedures and activity Risk Assessments.
- Develop and support relevant sections of projects CPP, WPP's.
- To lead and co-ordinate project Accident investigations / Incidents / Near Misses.
- Manage Project Close Calls and ensure that they are tracked and the associated corrective actions are closed out adequately(RSSB CCS)
- To undertake and support projects traffic management plans (TMP)
EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working in the Rail industry
- Good knowledge of Construction and CDM Regulations
- Experience of working with ISO <phone number removed> & OHSAS <phone number removed> ) / HSG 65 standards.
- EHS experience
- NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate
- NEBOSH Fire Risk Management Certificate (not mandatory)
- IEMA Certificate or equivalent
- Internal Quality Auditor
- Training Skills (A1/A2)or equivalent
- PTS certificate
- Knowledge and experience of working on operational railway infrastructure
- Knowledge of Environmental legislation
