We’re looking for a Fire Safety Engineer for a 6-month contract role with Network Rail. This role is remote working but will cover the West Coast Mainline between Carlisle & London so must be flexible to travel as required.

As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will:
- Be responsible for Production of Fire Risk Assessments to Operational Properties. This includes the 4 Managed Stations in the Region Man Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street, London Euston and Birmingham New Street. Route Operating Centres and other operationally critical buildings.
- Review and approval of Retail proposals within the managed stations environment to ensure that proposed refurbishment works, and fitouts align with the Fire Safety Strategy of the station and that proposed and completed works are in accordance with the relevant fire safety legislation.
- Support and professional advice to PRFS holder at these locations.
- Review, comment and approve Landlords Consent Applications from our stakeholders at station locations.
- Provide comment and approval through the Network Rail design assurance process for project work relating to the Operational Property portfolio.
You will:
- Be a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
- Have a Degree or equivalent qualification in fire engineering such as Level 5 Diploma in Fire Engineering Design.
- Have significant experience in fire safety at a management level.
- Chartered Fire Engineer or working towards (desirable).
