Health and Safety Consultant

Location: Leeds or Warrington

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 plus package

A global Project and Programme Consultancy delivering constructive expertise on some of the most exciting and high-profile construction projects are seeking to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, although experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services could be an advantage.

You will be responsible for delivering a number of roles, which we have established following the introduction of CDM 2015, in all technical and contractual aspects of a professional practice. Based in either our Leeds or Warrington Offices you will cover a range of sectors including but not limited to retail, housing, commercial property, manufacturing, infrastructure, public sector, and education.

Requirements:

- Experience of applying the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
- Sound knowledge of safety in design.
- Experience of delivering principal designer and CDM advisor services.
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Client facing.
- Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to prepare/present emails and documents, demonstrating a good understanding of the written and spoken English language.
- Competent report writing.
- Flexible to travel across Faithful+Gould client locations.
- A valid driving license is essential.

Your qualifications:

- Possess or working toward a NEBOSH National / Construction Certificate.
- A member of APS, IOSH and/or CIOB or working towards.
- A relevant design or construction related qualification (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

- Knowledge of providing principal designer services on a range of different sized projects.
- Assisting with providing CDM Advisory services to clients on a range of different sized projects.
- Providing general health and safety consultancy services to clients.
- Providing health and safety support as part of bids.
- Supporting colleagues with health and safety expertise where required.
- Supporting or writing bid documents.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of staff.
- Developing existing and new clients as part of our 'win work' strategy.
- Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's policies.
