Health & Safety Manager - Rail

6+ Month Contract – initially to start immediately - long term project

£325/day - £400/day Umbrella in scope of IR35

Based in Manchester or Leeds

Our client is part of an Alliance and will provide long term work on one of the largest projects in the north. A multi million pound project, this is an opportunity for you to become a part of this major investment in the rail industry.

As a part of this Project team you will provide professional health and safety advice and support to the Projects teams, co-ordinate the relevant activities and facilitate compliance and all relevant legal, industry and company standards.

The key to the success of this role will be your ability to develop good working relationships with various stakeholders, managing their expectations while supporting their needs.

Experience:

• Extensive experience of Health and Safety within the railway is essential
• Experience of safety legislation and associated approvals processes
• A full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety
• NEBOSH construction certification
• Outstanding at communicating and presenting
• Dynamic and highly customer focused
• Self-motivated with the ability to influence people at all levels
• Enthusiastic about creating a safe word-class railway infrastructure
