Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £39,941 - £50,596 per annum

Can you meet the challenge?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to come and join our Tram team. As part of this role you will lead the development and management of SYPTE’s Safety Management System (SMS) for Supertram ensuring Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) risks associated with the Supertram system are controlled and that assurance processes are put in place and followed. To continually audit and review the management of HSQE practices both within SYPTE and of our contractors, including South Yorkshire Supertram Limited (SYSL).

If so, do you have the qualities?

The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (NEBOSH), degree or equivalent professional attainment, along with a good working knowledge of Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006 (ROGS) and working practices along with previous experience of working within a similar environment. Additionally, you will need to have the following qualities:

• Be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders
• Be able to build positive working relationships
• Analytical and numeric skills
• Administration skills
• Computer literacy skills
