A major rail client seeks to employ an independent and creative thinking Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager to join their team in the Birmingham. As an Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manger you will be responsible for:
Undertaking contractor prequalification and tender evaluations as part of the procurement process with follow on of continuous monitoring of supply chain performance
Leading, developing and implementing a strategy for Occupational Health and Wellbeing that meets the business objectives, and works in collaboration with the wider people functions
Leading, developing and delivering a health management approach for: Long term case management and rehabilitation and to improve absence management advice and support for business managers
Evaluating the effectiveness of the service its interventions and benefits through self-auditing procedures.
Providing commercially viable solutions for addressing health and wellbeing issues e.g. aging workforce, obesity, muscular skeletal injuries, stress, resilience and physical fitness etc.
Collecting, recording and interpreting occupational health data
Incorporating strategies of primary prevention and early intervention of adverse health effects
Implementing and leading occupational health audits
Developing and sustain relationships with leadership teams and individuals with the aim of improving health and social well-being
Appraise policies and recommend changes to prevent ill health and improve health
Have knowledge of and interpret Employment and Health and Safety legislation
Act as a change agent to educate, motivate and support employees
