Mane are recruiting for a Occupational Health & Well-being Specialist to work on a on going contract for largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe. For this contract you can be based anywhere in the UK if you are happy to travel and visit different sites/depots.
The role of the Occupational Health & Well-being specialist is to lead in the provision of a proactive and competent Health and Well-being Program. To lead the health and well-being plan for the business, including management of occupational health services. You will report directly to the Director of EHS and work closely with the Regional EHS Managers in delivery of the programme.
What are my responsibilities?
*To manage the provision and delivery of Occupational Health services for the business
*To undertake all relevant administration as required, including monitoring and requesting health surveillances and drug and alcohol screenings
*Ensure the health surveillance and supervision programmes at all sites are upheld and maintained within legal compliance
*Undertake in depth analysis of health services provided, and improve accordingly
*Collect and evaluate data on function activity and health trends and design appropriate action plans to address any identified issues
*Audit and evaluate supplier services
*To develop the health and well-being strategy for the business and support the wider clients community in delivery of the H&W strategy
*To ensure health promotion programs are delivered across the company and tailored to the needs and requirements of each office/project
*To design intervention programmes for specific groups
*To review company policies & developing new procedures
*Collaborate with other departments to ensure delivery of health services across the company and ensure business risks relating to Employee Health and Wellbeing are reduced to a minimum
*Lead a team of regional well-being champions and coordinate activities for all offices and projects.
*Research, organise and deliver Health promotion and Health education activities
*To support the Head of EHS, including the production of reports, as and when required
What do I need to qualify for this job?
*Excellent communication skills, highly articulate, professional in your approach, maintain confidentiality and able to prioritize workload (essential)
*Good computer skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook (essential)
*Be confident, able to use own initiative and ability to work alone (essential)
*Experience in delivering Health & Well-being.
*Experience in delivering Occupational Health.
