Job title: Senior Safety Engineer
Job location: Derby
Salary: £Negotiable DOE
Shifts: M-F Office Hours; 37.5 hours per week
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent

Industries considered: Rail (Rolling Stock, OTM or LRV) Only.
You will be supporting Design, Safety Engineering and Assessment activities with rolling stock clients.

Responsibilities:
*Produce Safety Plans
*Write Safety Reports
*Chair/Secretary HazIDs/HAZOPs
*Acting as a main client contact or project manager where required
*Prepare and manage Hazard Records
*Define Safety Requirements
*Develop FMECAs and FTAs

Minimum Requirements:
*HNC in an Engineering discipline
*Knowledge of applicable standards relating to railway safety assurance, specifically EN50126
*Experience in applying legislation, such as ROGS and the Common Safety Methods CSM-RA regulations
*Knowledge of RAMS, FTA, FMECA and HAZID / HAZOP methods
*In depth knowledge of Rolling Stock, OTM or LRV

Advantageous:
*Engineering Degree
*Chartered Engineer
*Working knowledge of Technical Specifications for Interoperability, Railway Group and Industry Standards and applicable Euro Norms is beneficial.
*Stakeholder Management or Project Management Experience
