Due to continued growth we are looking for a Senior EHS Advisor to support our Rail business. In this position you will support the development of appropriate safe systems of work and risk assessments to ensure colleagues work safely and injury free. You’ll ensure implementation of the EHS Management System relevant to the telent Rail business operations and deliver suitable inspection programmes to ensure compliance with procedures, client requirements and EHS laws, standards and regulations.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out effective investigations and root cause analysis to enable the prevention of incidents and injuries
• Communicating learning in EHS matters into the telent Rail business
• Providing support in the ongoing maintenance of the telent Rail Management System and Hazard Logs.
• You’ll develop and support a positive health and safety culture.

What experience and behaviours are telent looking for?

• Practical experience of advising on environment and health & safety risks and controls on multi-discipline Rail projects.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS legislation and the practical application of requirements for compliance
• Working knowledge of Network Rail standards and the requirements of the Principal Contractor licence
• Recognised industry health and safety qualifications, e.g. NEBOSH Diploma
• Recognised membership of IOSH
• Recognised industry competency in Environmental Management e.g. AIEMA
• PTS qualification desirable

Location and the benefits of working for telent:

• The main location for this role will be out of the Warwick office however a major part of the role will involve going to sites across the country.
• There is a vehicle included for travel
• Standard hours will be Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week however due to site shift patterns this may alter at times.
