Senior Health and Safety Consultant

Location: Leeds or Warrington

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus package

A global Project and Programme Consultancy delivering constructive expertise on some of the most exciting and high-profile construction projects are seeking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, although experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services could be an advantage.

You will be responsible for delivering a number of roles, which we have established following the introduction of CDM 2015, in all technical and contractual aspects of a professional practice. Based in either our Leeds or Warrington Offices you will cover a range of sectors including but not limited to retail, housing, commercial property, manufacturing, infrastructure, public sector, and education.

Requirements:

- Suitable and relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background.
- Chartered/Professional Qualification in Design or Construction.
- NEBOSH qualified (minimum Construction Certificate).
- Preferable Member of APS / IOSH / CIOB.
- 5 years minimum experience in a similar role.
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety issues.
- Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
- H+S Training capability may be an advantage.

Responsibilities

- Providing Health & Safety Services on both independent commissions and also to complement our wider project delivery services.
- Providing Principal Designer Services under CDM2015.
- Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents.
- Ensuring Designer compliance.
- Reviewing contractors documentation.
- Interfacing with clients and design teams on project basis.
- Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues.
- Pro-active in business development of the Services within the Region.
- Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.
